Countdown To The Last Day Of School ( Momimhar posted on May 2nd, 2020 )

My sweet DD and me.

Hello May! What are we excited about the month of May? The last day of school! Haha. We are on a countdown already. It’s 15 days to go until the last day of the school year. My family, especially DD, is super excited. Because of this COVID-19 pandemic, our governor signed an Executive Order stating we will finish the school year at home.

We’ve been in quarantine since we got back from Oklahoma City on March 14th after purchasing a pre-owned SUV. With the states lowly re-opening, we will possibly be able to visit family and, perhaps, go to play parks or splash parks when they start to open in three weeks or so. Can’t wait to enjoy our SUV life. 🙂

We can’t wait for this pandemic to be all over. Summer break is just around the corner. We have good plans and there are lots of fun stuff to do.

Are We In Distance Learning For The Rest Of The School Year? ( Momimhar posted on April 9th, 2020 )

And just like that, we all are in Shelter-in-Place. Well, it wasn’t very clear to me what is Shelter-in-Place is according to the Collin County press conference a couple of weeks ago. After President Trump announced that the country is in the State of Emergency because of the COVID-19 pandemic, we started quarantining since we got back from our yearly Spring Break traveling the week of March 16.

Our school district announced an extended Spring Break week to help them plan. And by the end of the that week, an announcement from the district was sent over social media via emails stating that they are closing the schools for the health and safety of everyone. It was until April 3rd then school closure is currently moved to May 1st. It is still unclear if the school will reopen in May but I am expecting that we will be in Distance Learning for the rest of the school year.

This is the third week of our home schooling and we are doing great so far, I guess. How about you? How are you all doing in this distance learning thing?

COVID-19 Pandemic Causes Panic Worldwide ( Momimhar posted on March 14th, 2020 )

As we all know, this COVID-19 disease which they said started in China has caused panic worldwide. It is a very serious matter which has already become a pandemic. This is a new virus spreading quickly and we do not have immunity to it yet. That is why our cooperation to prevent its spread is highly needed.

Who says I am not scared? Of course, I’m scared! I have family in the Philippines and my own here in America. I worry about everyone every day since this new virus emerged affecting thousands of people around the world as of now.

Here’s a friendly advice, okay? Do not panic. What we can do now is to take extra health precautions. In addition to washing our hands regularly, let us avoid crowded places for now. Stay home if sick and seek medical attention immediately. And, don’t be a hoarder. You know what I mean?

This, too, shall pass my friends. Let’s pray for fast healing and immediate solution to this COVID-19 pandemic.
